Meet Michelle & Rosena

Michelle Gilliam is a Milwaukee, born and raised currently living and based in Los
Angeles, CA improviser, actor, host, voice actor, and the Owner and Artistic Director of Improv MKE, an improv comedy school and theater based online, currently serving the world.

Michelle has been involved in improv comedy and applied improv for over 25 years, through studying, performing, coaching, teaching, directing, as well as leading corporate teams and various university departments to success by helping them to harness the power of improv as a tool and resource for creativity, empowerment, communication and much more.

Michelle feels fortunate to have a strong base in Milwaukee and be connected to the Chicago, Boston, New York, Los Angeles and now worldwide improv communities.

Michelle also headlined the Festivus Festival in Richmond, the 2022 Edinburgh
Scotland improv Festival and taught two weekend intensives in Chester and
Nottingham in the UK in March of 2022.
Michelle currently teaches for improv MKE and The World’s Greatest Improv School and guest teaches at various theaters online and in person around the country and world as well!

Rosena hails from the City of Champions Brockton, Massachusetts! She is a comedic actress, writer, and coach based in Los Angeles. She has been performing for over ten years and LOVES to create characters. In 2019 she performed and wrote in the NBC sponsored 2019 Bob Curry Fellowship Showcase.

She is a former member of Los Angeles-based sketch teams Bae*Gency and Women of Color Anonymous (WOCA), and Diversity Higher Comedy as well as Bernie Mac & Cheese, an LA-based improv troupe. Additionally, she was a cast member of Boston-based Improv Asylum NXT resident cast and the Improv Boston’s National Touring Company.

As a coach, Rosena expertly leverages her communication and improvisational skills to empower her clients to reach their goals by creating and leading workshops focused on team building, workplace inclusivity, career vision, and interpersonal and presentation skills.

With her dedication and wide range of talents, Rosena is guaranteed to bring
laughter, learning, and success to anyone who has the pleasure of working with her.
With a natural ability to make people feel at ease through her warm personality and sense of humor, she captivated audiences as a host for Comedy Lab at Improv Boston and at various comedy festivals and shows.
