I’m a Cyborg, but That’s OK er en romantisk komedie, og om territoriet ikke var helt nytt for Park Chan-wook, var det en tydelig kursendring for regissøren hvis tre siste filmer var den såkalte hevn-trilogien (inkludert den notoriske Oldboy). Young-Goon, som tror hun er en kyborg, havner på et psykiatrisk sykehus etter at hennes forsøk på å lade opp seg selv tolkes som et selvmordsforsøk. Hun faller snart for Il-soon, en mann som tror han kan stjele andre menneskers sjeler.

I’m a Cyborg, but That’s OK is a romantic comedy, and perhaps not what one would expect Park Chan-wook to make after The Vengeance Trilogy. Young-Goon, who thinks she is a cyborg, checks into a psychiatric ward, after her attempts to recharge were interpreted as a suicide attempt. There she meets a man who think he can steal other people’s souls, and the two soon fall in love.
