Full-day seminar on China
China is emerging as a superpower: How is Norway affected, and how big are the consequences for global international relations? There is a general lack of knowledge about China in Norway.
With China in the public discourse in Norway, how can experiences from different sectors be understood holistically, so that the debates can reach the relevant depths? How can we concretise achievable goals for our relations with China that also defend our core values?
A full-day public seminar at Chateau Neuf in Oslo will be arranged, with keynote speeches, panel debates and screening of documentary “The Hong Konger”. There will be in-depth discussions on the following topics:
Human rights and Censorship China-Norway normalisation of relations; Trading with China Climate and Environment China and Norwegian civil and state security Soft power The global perspective and the threat of authoritarian regimes
