What does evolution say about the Norwegian model and the welfare state?

David Sloan Wilson is the director of the Evolution Institute, and professor in Biology and Anthropology at Binghamton University. He seeks to explain Norway’s high standard of living and the presumed success of the Norwegian welfare state with evolutionary theory, using the concept of group selection and co-operation.

In collaboration with the think-tank Manifest, Kulturutvalgt invites professor in Economy Kalle Moene and professor in Biology Glenn-Peter Sætre to discuss these ideas in-depth with Sloan Wilson at Deichmanske Hovedbibliotek.

And, of course, the audience for a Q&A-session.
