We catch up with one of our hardest working interns who has almost single-handedly kept the bars running at Chateau Neuf. As part of Tappetårnet, she has set the bar very high for how much of your time you can give to the house.

Name:
Paulina Ślusarczyk

Studying/Working with:
BA in Nordic Studies at the University of Gdańsk in Poland. I got to spend the last two semesters in Oslo thanks to an exchange program, but I’ll soon be back to finish my degree at home. Previously, I was also employed at a coffee bar at Majorstua, where I learned that sober and drunk customers can be equally annoying, although for different reasons.

Association involved with:
Tappetårnet.

What have you contributed to DNS this month?
I worked a lot during Studiestart, managing the bar in the festival tent at Blindern and helping out with the big parties at Neuf.

What have you done previously in the house that you’ve been proud of?
Last semester I worked the most shifts in TT and thus got promoted to Hertuginne of Tappetårnet. Apart from that, since I’m still very fresh both to DNS and Norway, I feel proud of finally beginning to understand how the house is managed and who’s who, although I still have some work to do before I’ll be able to see the big picture.

Why did you get involved?
I got involved before I even set my foot on Norwegian ground – I signed up for STUDiO through Facebook. I enjoyed the perspective of getting to know people through doing work with them, not just attending silly parties. I thought working in the bar would give me a good start here. And it really did.

What is the great unanswered question?
SnappOrder? Hæ?

Are you single?
Thanks to DNS, no.

Which superpower would you have?
Turning all pizza that exists into healthy food (with extra vegetables if it’s frozen). You Norwegians would thank me.

What’s your weirdest talent?
I can tell by faces who gets an active Carlsberg and who doesn’t.

Which forening would you most trust to rule the world?
Regimet, because they’re always there when DNS needs them. Let’s just hope they don’t introduce a regime.
